About the Project

Strategic Objectives

• Strengthening Labour Inspection Systems: Enhancing the capacity of labour inspectors to ensure compliance with OSH standards.
• Developing and Implementing Action Plans: Targeting agriculture and construction sectors, with a focus on vulnerable workers.
• Improving Policies and Legal Frameworks: Aligning national OSH frameworks with International Labour Standards to foster decent working conditions.
• Regional Knowledge Exchange: Facilitating the sharing of lessons learned and best practices to encourage regional cooperation.

Expected Outcomes

• Pilot Action Plans: Developed and implemented for agriculture, with expansion into construction.
• Enhanced Labour Inspector Capacities: Strengthened training and strategic planning for compliance.
• Knowledge Products: Communication tools in English, French, and Arabic to raise awareness.
• Regional Collaboration: Workshops to share practices and promote international OSH standards.
