
Papua New Guinea
Papua New Guinea became an ILO member in 1976 and has ratified 23 ILO Conventions, including eight fundamental Conventions. Priorities for ILO-Papua New Guinea collaboration include labour law reform, promoting decent employment especially for youth and capacity building for tripartite partners. The ILO’s work in Papua New Guinea is managed by the ILO Office for Pacific Island Countries, in Suva, Fiji.
