Mozambique
Mozambique has been a member of the ILO since 1976. The ILO helps Mozambique promote social justice and create decent work through direct support as well as development cooperation projects. This work focuses on improving labour standards, promoting gender equality, fighting child labour, and helping workers transition from informal to formal jobs, among other areas. The ILO’s efforts in Mozambique are supervised by its office in Lusaka, which also oversees Zambia and Malawi.
