Kuwait private sector transition to a low-carbon economy
This study identifies key gaps that hinder the private sector’s just transition to a low-carbon economy in the State of Kuwait and, ultimately, compliance with the State’s Nationally Determined Contributions. The study highlights opportunities for private-sector actors to help accelerate this transition and identifies the main challenges, including policy inconsistencies and lack of clarity, financial constraints and regulatory barriers that impact sustainable development in the private sector. Findings provide actionable insights to support the Government’s climate objectives by enhancing private-sector engagement.
