A Just Transition in the Making: The story behind East Kalimantan’s new Regional Consultation Forum
In coal-reliant East Kalimantan, a new advisory forum has been set up to support just transition processes and economic transformation in the province. We followed several people who were involved in establishing the new forum to find out how they feel about it.

As part of the IKI JET Project, the story was first posted on the Just Energy Transition in Coal Regions Knowledge Hub.
The ILO's contributions to the establishment of Regional Consultation Forum (RCF) were highlighted, including its positions as "the main facilitator of the process," its facilitation of Just Energy Transition (JET) training, and its engagement with governments, coal workers, and coal firms.
