ILO Office for the United States and Canada
The mission of the ILO Office for the United States and Canada is to advance the understanding and support of ILO policies and objectives among government entities, ILO social partners, and other stakeholders. We are dedicated to fostering transparent and effective government relations to facilitate informed policymaking and legislative action that aligns with ILO standards.
Our office aims to disseminate knowledge, strengthen collaboration and partnerships, and highlight the unique benefits of working with the ILO. By engaging strategically with key international financial institutions, such as the World Bank and the IMF, we seek to embed ILO principles into broader economic frameworks and initiatives, ensuring that labour standards are a fundamental component of sustainable development and economic policies. Through these efforts, we strive to promote decent work and social justice across North America and beyond.
