How to prevent and address violence and harassment at work: A training course for enterprises

The training course equips enterprises with the tools, skills and practical know-how necessary to effectively tackle violence and harassment at work. It is designed for Employer and Business Membership Organizations (EBMOs) worldwide to deliver as a new training course or service for their members.

The training course helps enterprises to:

  • Understand what constitutes violence and harassment in the world of work.
  • Recognize the business case for tackling violence and harassment at work.
  • Assess and manage the risks associated with violence and harassment at work.
  • Identify and uncover cases of violence and harassment at work.
  • Develop and implement effective company policies and procedures to prevent and address violence and harassment at work.

The training manual includes the following templates:

  • An enterprise violence and harassment risk self-assessment tool
  • A staff survey on violence and harassment at work 
  • An enterprise statement on preventing and addressing violence and harassment 
  • Two enterprise policies on anti-violence and harassment, one for larger and one for smaller enterprise
  • Workplace posters
