The ILO LEADER Programme
The LEADER (Leading Employers in Action for Social and Environmental Responsibility) programme, spearheaded by the ILO Bureau for Employers’ Activities (ACT/EMP), is a transformative initiative aimed at raising Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards among national businesses in emerging markets. Launched in February 2024, this two-year programme works through Employer and Business Membership Organizations (EBMOs) to strengthen their capacity to support member businesses in improving ESG performance.
