Digital transformation in employment policies

The report examines if and how national employment policies (documented in the ILO’s Employment Policy Gateway) include digital transformation and related topics. It gives a short overview of the ILO’s work on employment policies and the introduction of digitalisation as well as highlights country and regional variations. It also analyses, through data and two case studies, how countries include digitalisation through specific measures. It notes that despite challenges, such as the digital divide, some countries with limited internet access have pursued digitalization initiatives through strategic planning.
