The primary goal of the International Labour Organization (ILO) is to promote opportunities for women and men to obtain decent and productive work, in conditions of freedom, equity, security and human dignity.

The ILO is devoted to promoting social justice and internationally recognised human and labour rights, through a decent work agenda.

Belarus has been a member of the ILO since 1954.

ILO activities in Belarus are coordinated by the ILO Decent Work Technical Support Team and Country Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

In Belarus, the ILO ensures that its core priorities and interests, policies and experience are disseminated among key stakeholders.

The mission of the ILO in Belarus is to have a strong, visible, and proactive presence in the country in order to effectively facilitate and support social dialogue between governments, employers’ and workers’ organisations, build partnerships with international institutions – with a purpose of promoting decent work and social justice.
