Achieving Social Justice through inclusive social health protection

The World Day of Social Justice reminds us each year of the need to build fairer, more equitable societies. To commemorate the 2025 World Day of Social Justice, the International Labour Organization (ILO) and Mahidol University join forces to spotlight the critical role of inclusion in advancing social health protection for all.

Overview

The event aims to highlight the significance of universal social health protection in achieving social justice. It will bring together representatives of academia, government, workers and employers from across Asia and will include dynamic presentations, discussions and the exchange of good practices to inspire action towards inclusive and sustainable social health protection systems.  In addition, the event will showcase the collaborative efforts of the ILO and Mahidol University, including their joint Master’s Program on Primary Health Care Management and Social Health Protection. 

Format, time and date

The event will take place on Thursday, 6 February 2025, from 10.00 AM -12.00 PM (Bangkok time GMT+7) at AIHD Boonsiri Hall of Mahidol Unversity's Salaya Campus in Nakhon Pathom. It features a hybrid format, allowing both in-person and online participation. 

Interpretation services will be provided in Thai (in person), Khmer, Lao, and Vietnamese languages.
